I am
I am Marlon Pakes, born in Rotterdam on July 14, 1976, to a Dutch father and a Moluccan (from West Papua) mother. My father, Hendrik Pakes, was born in Zevenhuizen, Groningen, while my mother, Regina Pattipeilohy, hails from Sorong, West Papua. I have three sisters: Denise, Chantal, and Rachelle.
From an early age, I was intrigued by fashion, likely influenced by my mother and aunts' obsession with clothing and shoes. Their constant shopping and efforts to dress elegantly made it clear to me that fashion held a special interest.
After completing secondary school/MAVO, I quickly realized that my further education should be focused on fashion. Consequently, I chose the MTS Fashion School in The Hague, specializing in men's tailored clothing.
Following this, a natural progression for me was enrolling in the Utrecht School of the Arts, where I pursued a degree in Fashion and Design.
